TANYA LAMARCHE, AScT – OWNER
Tanya Lamarche started her design career by designing kitchens and baths in 1995. She started studying the Engineering Design Technology Programme at the College of New Caledonia in 1996 and graduated with honours and earned a spot on the President’s List in 1999. She is registered as an Applied Science Technologist with ASTTBC (The Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia) and has been a member in good standing for 25 years.
After graduating from the Engineering Design Technology Programme she worked in the steel detailing field and started her own business in August 2000. She has worked for several engineering firms during her career. The first engineering firm that she worked for was a mechanical engineering firm that specialized in HVAC, fire protection and plumbing design. The second engineering firm that she worked for was an architectural and structural engineering firm where she gained experience and knowledge drafting and designing buildings of all shapes and sizes. She also prepared specifications, contracts, as-built records, managed tender documents and on-site measure-ups and inspections. She also worked for a civil engineering firm that had a legal land surveying department. She prepared legal land survey plans, site survey topographic plans, civil engineering plans such as; highway designs, bridge designs, road designs, mining design plans, land use plans, geotechnical plans and structural Plans all with Civil 3D Software.
On her own with TLL Drafting and Design she has completed several contract drafting projects for several different companies. Her contract drafting work consisted of; millwork plans, steel detailing plans, house plans, fire hall addition plans, retail addition plans, mill building structural reinforcement plans, fabrication drawings, 3D models for catalogues, 3D piping diagrams and as-built record drawings. She has also designed several custom new homes throughout the provinces of BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Her work includes challenging renovations and addition designs as well.
